Sail like the locals
do! Our sunset trip takes you to Water Island, a beautiful oasis
in the Virgin Islands popular with local weekend sailors.
Your adventure starts
with a leisurely sail around historic Hassel Island. Guests will
enjoy a panoramic view of both old and new. On the left, massive
modern cruise ships will be docked at the West Indian Company
dock; while on the right will be the historic remains of the old
pier and forts used by traders and pirates in previous centuries.
Great photo opportunities prevail.
After a one hour meandering
sail, the Adventurer catamaran will glide into Honeymoon Beach
on Water Island where you will enjoy a swim and barbecue on a
nearly deserted beach. Catered by well known Heidi and staff,
who host a popular local's Sunday afternoon feast, her food is
legendary.
Indulge on barbecue
baby back ribs and chicken, salad, and rolls. The beach faces
west, delighting you as you watch the sun dip towards the Caribbean
Sea. The Captain will call the 'all aboard' and Adventurer will
sail into the inviting sunset. The boat meanders back to the waterfront
as you enjoy the beverage of your choice - including our famous
Painkiller if you choose. The good news is you still have the
evening to enjoy!
Operates
Friday afternoons only. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. at the Atlantis
Submarines Retail Store in the Havensight Shopping Center. Tour
time is 3:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Additional Information:
- Participants should wear practical footwear, swimwear, sunglasses
with straps and sunscreen.
- Occasionally another catamaran may be substituted.
- Lunchtime Barbecue is catered by well-known Heidi and staff
who host a popular locals Sunday afternoon feast, her food is
legendary. Guests will indulge on BBQ baby back ribs and chicken,
salad, and rolls.
- Drinks on the catamaran are complimentary. While onshore at
Honeymoon Beach, a single drink is included with each persons
meal (water,soda,beer).
- Any additional drinks onshore are available at Heidi's cash
bar.
